In 2023, Donbas State Pedagogical University for the first time began to teach foreign students. In order to attract Chinese students to study at DSPU, a number of negotiations and conferences were held. As a result of the meetings, agreements were reached and an agreement was signed with the Chinese company China Shandong Yuanxiang Education Information Consulting Co., Ltd., which represents the interests of the university in recruiting citizens of the People’s Republic of China for education programs. On September 21, 2023 DSPU has established its representative office in China, which is the only authorized structure of the university for online recruitment of Chinese students to study through online platforms. Teaching for foreign students is carried out in English.
At the University actively operates the Ukrainian-Polish International Center for Education and Science, which was opened in December 2020.
The team of teachers of the Department of Theory and Practice of Primary Education of Donbas State Pedagogical University continues to implement two projects in the direction of Jean Monnet of the European Union Program Erasmus+ “Ukraine - EU: Intercultural Communication in Education” (620354-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE) and “European Practices of Media Education” (101085162 EUPinMEd ERASMUS-JMMU O-2022-MODULE).
In 2023, the university became a member of the project “Strengthening the capacities of pedagogical universities in Ukraine” in cooperation with the Masaryk University with the support of the Czech Development Agency. The project aims to strengthen the capabilities of 10 Ukrainian higher education institutions in the field of internationalization and effective training of future teachers in a crisis, support the publication activity of scientists from partner universities, and inform the community about the possibilities of international cooperation.
Since 2023 DSPU is a member of the Erasmus+ project “Training on behavior management using virtual reality in the preparation of higher education applicants of higher education institutions to support people with autism”. The project will be implemented by the Department of Special and Inclusive Education Technologies during 2023-2026.
Since January 19, 2023 teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages are members in a professional association of TESOL Ukraine. Therefore, the university continues to participate in the English Language Fellow Program with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
